The "mad scene" aria "Il dolce suono" from the 3rd Act of the opera "Lucia di Lammermoor," by Gaetano Donizetti (Italian libretto by Salvatore Cammarano after Sir Walter Scott's historical novel The Bride of Lammermoor) as featured in the film The Fifth Element in a performance by the alien diva, Plavalaguna (voiced by Albanian soprano Inva Mula-Tchako and played onscreen by French actress Maïwenn Le Besco).
